BGDG provides your pet with the ultimate spa experience and the services are always geared towards not only enhancing the beauty of your pet, but focusing on ensuring their continued health and vitality as well.
Obviously, a clean well-groomed pet is the groomer's job. However, it is also a groomer's job to take the time to care for problems they find on the pet. Very often pets with badly matted fur have skin infections and sores which need to be cleaned and treated. Badly infected ears need careful attention and cleaning. Pets with excessive eye drainage need special care to remove the build-up of material from the corners of the eye and occasionally from the eye itself. Sometimes groomers notice cuts or sores that the owners may be unaware of, these are cleaned and treated as part of the groomer's service. Quite often, fleas, ticks, or other parasites are found and treated as well. On the lighter side, a groomer also removes bubble gum, burrs, paint, candy, oil, tar and anything else a pet manages to get into at least once in its life. A professional groomer is someone who pays special attention to your pet as well as providing a good groom.
Our Groomers are trained observers and can serve as front-line guardians of health. Very often, they spot potential problems that can affect a pet's physical condition enabling owners to seek treatment before problems get serious. Since our groomers literally go over pets from nose to tail, they can find anything from a loose tooth to a thorn embedded in a paw. Groomers brush and comb pets right down to the skin, so they are able to see parasites and skin problems. They clean and check ears, allowing them to often stop an infection before it progresses. Professional groomers are as concerned with the general health and well-being of pets as they are with their appearance.
